The school needed a credible public presence for parents and prospective families, plus a visual identity that could hold up across two live digital surfaces — a marketing website and the VCLearn LMS. Squarespace offered fast publishing, but the default theme was not enough for the school's tone. The logo had to work at full size in navigation and compress cleanly into a favicon without losing recognition.
Methodical Approach
Identity that scales
Primary logo for page-level branding on the public site and LMS, with a favicon variant tuned for tabs, bookmarks, and compact login screens.
Squarespace plus custom layer
Pages and publishing stayed in Squarespace. Custom CSS and JavaScript refined layout, visual hierarchy, and front-end behavior the default theme could not reach.
Brand-led public experience
The live site presents motto, vision, academics, and contact paths with the school crest and messaging aligned — not a generic template with a logo swap.
Vine Crest International Schools needed more than a logo file. The mark had to read clearly in a website header, on an LMS sign-in screen, and at favicon size in browser chrome. We treated that as a recognition system problem: one primary crest for formal presentation and a simplified favicon that keeps the same visual cues under tighter constraints.
The public website followed the same principle of platform leverage. Squarespace handled publishing and page administration; custom CSS and JavaScript closed the gap where the stock theme limited hierarchy, spacing, and school-specific presentation. The result is a maintainable site operators can update without a separate engineering stack — and a brand that stays coherent when families move from the marketing site into VCLearn.
